The publicity was so bad that, eventually The Sharper Image, their manufacturer, declared bankruptcy in 2008. Although the name persists, having been purchased by another company, there is no indication that any Ionic Breeze air purifiers have been produced since then. This does not bode well for the availability of spare parts, and you can probably consider these products to be sold as-is, with no warranty. The Ionic Breeze Quadra Air Purifier has been sold at various retail outlets since 2003, so there is really no telling how long a "new" one may have been sitting on the shelf.
